Privacy Policy

1. The short version

SoloSuds stores your records on your device and offers optional private iCloud sync through your Apple Account. When you enable sync, app records are also stored in iCloud and can sync across your devices using the same Apple Account. You can also export and restore backup files. No separate SoloSuds account is required. We do not sell the information you enter in the app or use it for advertising.

2. Information you choose to enter

You may enter business details, client names, addresses, phone numbers, rates, house notes, appointment information, checklist items, visit records, photos, mileage, and invoice information. This information is used to provide the features you choose. It is stored on your device and, when you enable iCloud sync, in your private iCloud storage provided by Apple. SoloSuds does not operate a separate server for these business records.

You are responsible for making sure you have a lawful basis to store and use information about your clients. Do not enter information you are not authorized to have, and take particular care with access instructions, alarm codes, contact details, and photos.

3. Accounts, analytics, and advertising

SoloSuds does not require a separate SoloSuds account. Optional iCloud sync uses your Apple Account and Apple’s iCloud service. The app does not include an advertising SDK or third-party analytics SDK for your business records. If this changes, we will update this policy and the applicable App Store privacy information.

4. Purchases and Apple services

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple may handle transaction and account information under its own terms and privacy policy. SoloSuds does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

If you choose to open Apple Maps, Messages, or the iOS share sheet, the information you decide to send, save, or share is handled by the service or recipient you select. SoloSuds prepares a direction, reminder draft, or PDF only when you request it; you choose whether to act on it.

5. Storage, backups, and deletion

Your records remain available locally. You can enable optional iCloud sync in the app and use the same Apple Account on your other devices. Sync requires an available iCloud account and a network connection; changes may take time to appear on other devices. Turning sync off keeps local records and does not delete data already stored in iCloud.

Backup export and restore include saved records, photos and app preferences. You choose where to save a backup in Files, including iCloud Drive. Backup files are not password-protected by SoloSuds, so protect access to the location and any copies you share. Restoring a backup replaces current records; if sync is enabled, those changes also sync to iCloud and your other devices.

You can delete records using the app’s deletion controls. When sync is enabled, record changes can also sync to your other devices. Deleting the app removes its local data but does not by itself delete copies in iCloud or exported backup files. Manage iCloud storage through Apple’s settings and delete exported backups from their saved locations when no longer needed. Losing a device or deleting local data without an available synced copy or backup may result in permanent data loss.

6. Contact and feedback

If you email us for support or feedback, we receive the information you choose to put in that message so we can respond. Please do not include client names, addresses, phone numbers, access codes, photos, invoices, or other client information in support email unless it is necessary and you are authorized to share it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. Material changes to how app information is handled will be described before the related release where required.
